==Career==

Walden is originally from New Plymouth and attended Francis Douglas Memorial College there. During this time, he was selected in the schools side alongside future team-mate Jackson Hemopo.〔 He moved south to Dunedin to link up with the Otago Razorbacks ahead of the 2013 ITM Cup season. His appearances were fleeting during that campaign and he made only 1 start, however in 2014 he established himself as a regular with 9 starts and 2 tries in what was a disappointing season overall for Otago.〔 Despite this, his performances saw him named as a member of the wider training group for the 2015 Super Rugby season.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Highlanders 2015 Squad Naming )
